An elderly woman pedestrian was injured by a car on Chiswick High Road today. (Sunday, December 18th).

Police said that they were alerted by London Ambulance at 12.20 pm that an elderly woman pedestrian aged in her seventies, had been taken to hospital after an incident involving a car on the High Road. The woman's condition is not known but she has been detained in hospital.

The incident happened at Clifton Gardens, a short one-way street which runs from the corner with the Nat West Bank down towards the Health Centre. The road was closed off for a number of hours while the police investigated and was re-opened at 3.30 p.m.

The police said the driver stopped at the scene and was not arrested.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 101 to help their enquiries.
