"I won't be scared off my local – I'm a Geordie," Ant McPartlin told The Sun. Speaking about The Barley Mow incident the TV presenter said: "I'll still go back to the pub. It's one of my locals."

Ant and Dec were celebrating after winning Best Entertainment Performance at this week's Royal Television Awards for their shows I'm a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here! and Britain's Got Talent.

“[Ant and Dec] continue to personify warmth, charm and consummate professionalism in everything they do," said a spokesperson for the judges. "Their supreme confidence allows them to bring a sense of cheekiness and spontaneity to proceedings, without ever undermining the programmes or their audiences. They have, remarkably, continued to push at the boundaries of this genre and set an even higher standard.”

The ceremony, held at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Tuesday 15 March, was hosted by fellow Chiswickian Dara O’Briain and saw Ant and Dec beat Charlie Brooker and Graham Norton for the coveted prize.
