Local Olympic hero James Cracknell has had his bike stolen from Chiswick High Road this Tuesday.

The rowing gold medallist is hoping that the community can help him get the black Boardman bike with Powertap back. It is reported to be worth over £2,000.

He as some reason for hope as in 2006 his medals were recovered after been stolen from his home. They were found under a bush in Chiswick by a dog.

James has not let a serious accident which occurred less than a year ago dim his enthusiasm for cycling. He was being filmed riding a bicycle along an Arizona road when he was hit by a truck. He suffered a fractured skull and bruising to the brain and continues to suffer from short term memory loss.
