Explorer Scouts get the chance to work with other Explorer Scouts across the district and county, working together with like-minded friends on activities aimed at achieving the Duke of Edinburgh or Chief Scout's Award. Scout Network programmes will reflect the huge variation in Members' interests. Some local Networks will have activities that concentrate on one area of the programme, whilst others will have a wider range. Youth Clubs
CEDARS Youth Drop In Centre and Cafe, Methodist Church, Sutton Court Road, W4. currently open from 3 to 6 pm Monday to Thursday. There is a junior club on Mondays from 6.30pm to 8pm. A Homework Club will operate in 2008. When funds and resources allow, the centre will be open 6 days a week for up to 12 hours each day. It is open to all young people regardless of ethnic origin, economic background, ability or disability. Westside Youth Group is a club for 11 to 18 year olds. It meets at the Dukes Meadows Community Centre every Tuesday evening from 7 to 9.30 pm and on Fridays from 7 to 10pm. The club is staffed by 2 youth workers per session funded by local communications company Intelsat and by volunteers.
