Gospel in Motion with The
London Community Gospel Choir
Tuesday 29th June, 7.45pm at St
Michael’s Church, Elmwood Road, Chiswick
Tickets £16
Out of many one voice…and out of an assortment of churches, cultures
and characters emerges The London Community Gospel
Choir with their unique mix of up-tempo gospel, swing-beat,
R’n’B, and traditional and soulful arrangements.
Trying to fit LCGC into a neat slot is virtually impossible. They are adaptable, flexible and perform dynamic sounds creating rich harmonies whether they are a small or large group and their invigorating choreography and vocal gymnastics are outstanding!
LCGC have sung on the soundtrack for Walt Disney’s “The Lion King”,
performed for Nelson Mandela during his famous visit to London, represented the
British Council at international festivals in Zambia and Zimbabwe, opened at
main stage Glastonbury and put gospel for the first time on the BBC Proms map. LCGC
has worked with international artists such as George Michael, Jessye Norman,
Sting, Luther Vandross, Sir Elton John, Puff Daddy, Mariah Carey, Blur,
Beautiful South, Diana Ross, Sir Paul McCartney, Westlife, Celine Dion, Tina
Turner and many others at live appearances, video and studio recordings.
Seeing is believing! The magnificent performance of the London Community Gospel Choir will leave you emotionally uplifted, spiritually provoked and physically exhausted!
