Artists at Home - AAH 2002 Participating Artists - full details of artists and locations of exhibitions Since 1973 artists living in Chiswick and Hammersmith have opened their studios over the last weekend in June, giving the public an opportunity to see their work in a relaxed and informal environment.
Over the years the scheme has expanded and the boundaries
have shifted; the area now includes Stamford Brook, Ravenscourt
Park and Brook Green as well as parts of Chiswick, Hammersmith
and Shepherd's Bush. This year 33 artists are taking part,
representing painting, ceramics, sculpture, photography, printmaking,
jewellery, textiles and papier mâché. Often two
artists show together, displaying complementary styles or
different disciplines. For the first time, as well as Saturday and Sunday (29 - 30 June, 11am-6pm), many of the studios will be open on Friday 28 (5-9pm). This should give even more people a chance to see the work and the space in which it was created. With such diverse styles and media, there will surely be something for everyone, whether you are coming to buy or just to look. We
hope that AAH will have many new visitors this year, to add
to the growing band of art pilgrims who make the annual round
of studios. AAH 2003 - 30th Anniversary Next year will be the 30th Anniversary of the open studio scheme in Chiswick and Hammersmith and we intend to mark this with a celebration booklet. Any company wishing to reserve advertising space in the publication should contact artistsathome@chiswickW4.com as soon as possible. Any other enquiries relating to AAH should also be directed to the above email address or to 59 Emlyn Road W12 9TG.
