Helpers are needed for planting and other general work. Several shops and businesses in Chiswick have become involved in planting herbs outside their premises and are sponsoring events next weekend. Sixty herb gardens are being planted along Chiswick High Road, Turnham Green Terrace and Devonshire Road to celebrate the second Chelsea Fringe Festival- all are nectar-friendly herbal plants.Another new highlight this year is the herbal knot garden with a living willow structure on Turnham Green at Christ Church, organised in conjunction with the Friends of Turnham Green.

The Chelsea Fringe festival runs from May 18 th-9th June. The Chelsea Fringe is a gardening festival held throughout London over three weeks in May/June at the same time as the Chelsea Flower Show.

Abundance London works with local volunteers, organisations and schoosls to harvest fruit gluts and organises fun events linked to education about fruit, veg and the environment. Since Abundance launched in Chiswick, three other area of London, Lewisham, Salusbury Road in NW3 and Askew Road in W6 have followed their lead in organising similar projects
