Term is about to begin for the Addison Singers Jazz Choir and it is welcoming new members.

The non-auditioned, all female group which explores jazz songs from the 1930s onwards, is starting the new season at the POSK Centre on King Street on Monday 17 January. All voices welcome, whether you're a beginner or an experienced singer.

The weekly rehearsals to prepare for a concert in April run from 6.30pm to 8pm and to join costs £55 which includes all music.

A joint concert with the Jazz Ensemble will take place on Saturday 2 April 2022 at 7.30pm and will include songs such as Let The River Run, Africa, Who Can Sail Without The Wind, Big Yellow Taxi, Moon River and Wonderful World.

The Jazz Ensemble is a small auditioned jazz singing group for experienced men and women singers.

The Jazz Choir is one four choirs in the Addison Singers group which also includes a classical choir and ensemble. Its renowned Chamber Choir particularly invites Tenors and Basses to apply for a simple audition (just email addisonadmin@gmail.com).

This year Addison Singers is celebrating its delayed 50th anniversary.
