Friends and colleagues have paid tribute to Chiswick Pier Trust’s former Trust Officer, Alan Wadner, who died recently after a long illness.

His funeral will be held this Friday, March 21st at 1.20pm at Mortlake Crematorium Kew Meadow Path, Townmead Road, Richmond TW9 4EN.

Alan Wadner was also associated with Abundance in Chiswick and spent many years as a volunteer with the Chiswick House Kitchen Garden.

A spokesperson for Chiswick Pier Trust said: "Alan was always hugely supportive of our work, not only during his employment here, but also after he had left the Trust, when he always volunteered to help at our big events. He was a talented photographer and contributed some wonderful pictures which continue to be displayed on our website."

Sarah Hodgson, Chiswick Pier Trust's Chair of Trustees, said; “The systems that Alan put in place to make the Trust more efficient are still greatly valued. Under his guidance the Trust continued to widen its activities and embrace new technology enhanced by his calm and dignified manner. He will be greatly missed."
