Local Music School Celebrates Tenth Birthday

Ana-Paola Ortiz, creator and founder of Ana Ortiz Music Limited is celebrating the tenth successful year of the music school.
Ana Ortiz Music embodies an ambitious vision of a vibrant musical world of education, not simply limited to lessons by the hour.
She was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she achieved a Professor in Chamber and Music Ensembles from the Universidad Nacional de la Plata.
"I have been part of the music industry for more than 30 years, and had ten years with my own music school and I have been very fortunate to have travelled the world, collecting a vast experience as a music teacher and producer, alongside my musical career as a performer and songwriter," says Ana.
Ana worked in many areas of the music industry, including as a session musician in recording studios, and began to teach music privately, passing on the love of music to students of all ages. Her client base has grown to all of west London, and many of her students go on to study music at university.
There are now ten teachers in the Ana Ortiz Music School and over 250 students ranging in age from six to 60-plus.
Now the school is holding a big celebratory concert in Hammersmith on November 28th, to celebrate their journey. There will be over 100 performers, half of them solo artists and half participating in the school bands. The concert will feature many solo performances, mainly painists and guitarists, singers that also play the piano, as well as bands featuring drums, bass, and vocal ensembles.
The school offers teaching not just in the area of classical music, but also popular music.
Ana says: "People find their own voices through learning music, you can see them coming and finding their own sounds. I have students who I taught for many years and they still keep coming back to me.
"We offer only the most carefully chosen teachers, who fully embrace the Ana Ortiz ethos of fun, joy and above all musicality."
