Organic store As Nature Intended on Chiswick High Road reopened this week having been closed for several weeks for a refurbishment.

A ceremony to reopen the store, which sells organic food and wine as well as natural remedies, was carried out by the Mayor of Hounslow, Cllr. Ajmer Grewell.

The shop had not had a major makeover since 2000 and customers who lined up outside the shop early today and clapped when it opened, were surprised at the 'new look' which the extensive refit has given the shop. The floor area remains unchanged but the ceiling has been lifted to give a lighter look and the chilled department has been extended, with the remedy section moved to the front.

There are 200 new lines, including more wine, a fuller range of meat, charcuterie and cheeses, and a more extensive selection of products such as pasta and teas.

As Nature Intended opened in Chiswick in 2000 and sells products ranging from fresh meat and fish, 'free from' items for special dietary requirements, chilled goods, beer and wine, and supplements and skincare. There are also branches in Balham and Marble Arch and Ealing
