Beverley Turner's Blooming Bunch

After ten happy months at Maggie&Rose, The Blooming Bunch has announced a new location for its classes.

From this month Beverley Turner and her team will be hosting their weekly ante-natal classes in the private room overlooking the River Thames at the newly renovated City Barge restaurant and bar.

Said founder Beverley; “We strive to create an environment in which firm friendships are made and it is definitely working – the only problem is that our couples never want to leave and we find ourselves having to usher them out when the classes end at 9 o’clock! The stylish City Barge provides us with the perfect sociable environment in which we can carry on chatting at the end of the sessions and the midwives will stick around to answer questions informally.”

The new venue (above) gives a larger room, greater flexibility and a more ‘grown up’ setting and now couples can grab a bite to eat before classes and they can host extra daytime coffee mornings.

Bev says, “We can’t wait to start using the beautiful Harrowden Room with its restful view overlooking the River Thames. It’s a short walk from the train station and offers plenty of free parking. On Summer evenings it will be absolutely heavenly.”

This strip of river has some heritage for mums-to-be as they will be just two doors down from the site on which Christine Hill ran her successful 25-year ante-natal business until her retirement last year.

Landlord of The City Barge Rob Leader and wife Kate were part of The Blooming Bunch in the spring prior to the arrival of son, Bert. Rob says, “Bev creates a really relaxed and welcoming atmosphere in her Blooming Bunch ante-natal course and I knew that they would fit in perfectly at The City Barge. I am delighted to be working with her and the team of experts who have quickly become an integral part of Chiswick life for parents-to-be. We look forward to hosting these couples as they embark on the exciting journey of becoming parents.”

The Blooming Bunch is currently taking bookings for Spring and Summer babies.
