Local fans of the new series of ITV's Birds of a Feather were delighted to see a local shop featuring in the second episode last week.

Fino, the women's boutique on Chiswick High Road was transformed into a shop in Chigwell, Essex for a scene featuring Linda Robson and Lesley Joseph.

The BAFTA -winning show (formerly on BBC) has returned to television screens on ITV after an absence of fifteen years with the original cast of Joseph (Dorien) , Robson and Pauline Quirke ( sisters Tracy and Sharon) and this time including Quirke's real-life son Charlie, and actor Matt Willis ( Big Brother).

Gissou, who owns Fino boutique which sells women's clothes, said that the filming took place last October for a whole day. When it was shown on television, several local people in Chiswick recognised the interior of the shop and she received several texts and phone calls.

"It was very exciting. They wanted a shop that would be a smart boutique. It was a great experience and we really enjoyed having them film in the shop."

The first episode in the tenth Birds of A Feather series aired on January 2nd at 8.30pm and was watched by over eight million viewers.

There are eight episodes in the pipeline and if you want to catch the one featuring Chiswick, it was broadcast on January 9th and is still available on the ITV Player .https://www.itv.com/itvplayer/
