The 160th annual Boat Race between Oxford and Cambridge will take place on April 6th this year.

Chiswick Pier provides one of the best views of the race as you can watch the crews power upstream from Chiswick Eyot past the Pier and through to the final bend before Barnes Railway Bridge.

Come to the Pier House where you can not only  watch the start and finish of the race on a big screen but also walk outside to watch the live action as the boats pass.

You can have a late lunch before the race and enjoy the sound of live music from popular band Shenanigans. Freshly cooked food from the barbeque including kebabs and wraps served with a selection of salads, and drinks from the Fuller’s bar. Also available will be hot drinks, cakes and ice cream.

Why not bring the family, make an afternoon of it and get in the mood ready for the action.  The race starts at Putney at 6pm with the boats passing Chiswick Pier around 11 minutes later.  The Pier House opens at 2pm and will be serving food and drink all afternoon.
