The Body Shop has closed its branch on Chiswick High Road.

A poster in the window of the shop on Monday ( April 8) stated that the show had now closed and said that shoppers could visit its nearby branches in Hammersmith.

The Body Shop is an international business offering a wide selection of cosmetics and all manner of bathroom and skin care products, based on natural ingredients and remedies.

It has been located in Chiswick for several years. The Body Shop has 2,400 stores in 61 countries and was founded in 1976 by Anita Roddick. It became part of the L'Oreal corporate group in 2006. Anita Roddick died in 2007.

The closest stores to Chiswick are in the King's Mall or the Broadway Shopping Centre, Hammersmith.
