The Bread Shop on Chiswick High Road is closing today. (28th December) as is the branch in Richmond.

Opened in 2004, the first branch was in St John's Wood and the Chiswick shop was a replica, with some modifications. It had been trading for about fourteen years in Chiswick.

The shop sold a range of different types of loaves of bread and had a large range of spelt products including spelt pasta. It also sold pastries and cakes, pizzas and sandwiches.

The Bread Shop had branches in St Albans and Brent Cross as well as Chiswick Richmond and St John's Wood. A staff member said all branches were closing but this could not be confirmed .

We have emailed head office for comment. There is no information on its website or Twitter pages relating to reasons for closure.
