A date of Thursday, 5 December is now confirmed for the special meeting of the Planning Committee at which the hybrid application for the Brentford Football new stadium and residential development at Lionel Road will be considered. The meeting will be held in the Lampton Conference Centre at the Civic Centre in Hounslow at 7.30 pm. This meeting is open to the public.

The  scheme was discussed at the Chiswick Area Forum last Tuesday, when local councillors and residents groups made their objections known, especially to the scale and density of the residential development and the lack of infrastructure. The groups included the Chairmen of the West Chiswick and Gunnersbury Society and the Strand on the Green Association.

The chairman of Brentford FC Mr. Brian Burgess was also present.

Other issues raised included the potential overcrowding at Gunnersbury Tube Station and pressure on local transport and infrastructure.
