The long-awaited Chiswick Park footbridge will be launched in January with an official opening.

A ribbon cutting ceremony will take place on 24 January and from then on the bridge will be accessible.

The 135m footbridge which will link the Park with Chiswick Park tube station aims to relieve congestion at Gunnersbury Station.

With over 9,000 people working daily and over 80,000 visitors per year, providing easy access to the office development was deemed essential. It is hoped it will make a big difference to the workers and to local residents.

Construction work began last year after an agreement was signed between Chiswick Park, Hounslow and Ealing Councils, Network Rail and Transport for London, following years of protracted negotiations.

The new pedestrian bridge will reduce walking time between the Business Park and Chiswick Park Tube Station to just four minutes. It will also improve the connection to the wider transport network with the opening of the Elizabeth Line at Ealing Broadway.
