Another application is being made to convert a bungalow in Grove Park into a three-storey block of flats.

A previous application for the large corner site at 3, Grove Park Gardens was declined in December of last year.

Hounslow Council planners said that the height and scale of the building would not relate well to the modestly-sized plot
and the design failed to preserve the character and appearance of
the conservation area. They also stated that the proposed parking arrangement to the front of the site would not be in keeping with in the character of the area and would have an adverse impact on highways safety.

The new application by Aquinna Homes says that the design and architectural style of the proposed development will derive from the character of the surrounding area, and look to reflect the architectural design of the Victorian dwellings that are close to the site. There would be five new dwellings of one bedroom or more each with off road parking. The planning statement with the application said the revised plans would not overlook adjacent properties or deprive them of light.

The site is located on the southern side of Grove Park railway line, adjacent to the road junction with Grove Park Bridge.

The application is for the erection of a large replacement building (comprising of 5 dwellings) with associated parking, access and landscaping, following the demolition of the existing dwelling and out-buildings.
