Organising trips for older Chiswick residents

"We are volunteers who have set up a small local social enterprise organising trips for older Chiswick residents who might not otherwise get out. Our target group is the isolated over 80's.

"We offer regular short trips out by minibus, often including lunch and shopping.

"We charge for the trips to cover our costs, but we are a not-for-profit limited company. We keep costs down by using Hounslow Community Transport and volunteer drivers who hold the local authority training and access certificates.

"Recent trips include:
Squires Garden Centre for lunch
Kew Retail and afterwards Pembroke Lodge, Richmond Park, for lunch
The Christmas Lights in Central London

"If you know someone on their own who might enjoy joining us for a trip, email at: info@goodgoingout.org.uk and either Jane or Annette will contact you.

"We are also looking for more volunteers to help us organise our trips and for volunteer drivers with experience of driving minibuses who would be willing to go through the Hounslow MIDAS training."
