Epic ride for Alzheimer’s Society ends in the Business Park

Four Irish workers ended their epic charity cycle from Shannon in the west of Ireland, to Chiswick this week. The group completed a 589 kilometres long ride in aid of the Alzheimers Society.

The cycle was part of the Office 2 Office cycle challenge and saw four workers from the Genworth office in Shannon cycle for five days to the Genworth office in Chiswick Park. The team of riders were; Ed English, Jean Spillane, John Thickbroom, Sharon Lawlor and Mark Doherty.

The cycle was in aid of the Alzheimer’s Society who provide support and help to people with dementia and their families. The services thJune 5, 2013nd their families who simply could not cope without them.

The riders were covering their own costs so every cent donated will go to the charity. The cyclists have set a target of £5000 to raise for the charity which the Genworth Foundation have also agreed to contribute to.
