There has been a welcome return for the Guide Dog and Puppies collection box outside a Chiswick optician.

The trio had to be removed temporarily due to concerns about possible Covid-19 risks during the pandemic but now they are back at their former location at 229E Chiswick High Road near the bus stop.

The team at the Eye Studio welcomed back their long serving "Guide Dog and puppies" to the usual place some weeks ago.

Local Guide Dog volunteer Tim Mack says, "Earlier in the year we all agreed to give him/her a bit of a 'rest' due to Covid concerns.

"We are so grateful that now he/she is back customers and others have continued to support Guide Dogs through donations.

"He/she has become a bit of a landmark over the years and big thank you to the team at Award Winning Retailer the Eye Studio for looking after him/her".

Recently it was revealed that a similar collection box outside Busby's pharmacy in Grove Park had raised over £5,000 for Guide Dogs for the Blind.
