Are you interested in making music with a group of friendly and enthusiastic singers? Have you considered joining a choir, but not sure whether it's for you? Would you like to expand your current repertoire under the guidance of a professional conductor?

The come along to Chiswick Choir’s Come and Sing day on Saturday 15 September 2018 at Strand on the Green School! The repertoire for the day will be movements from Alexander L’Estrange’s Zimbe, a contemporary and joyous celebration of music from across Africa.

Chiswick Choir is a large amateur choir that has been rehearsing and performing in Chiswick W4 for over forty years. The Choir performs at least three concerts each year and has covered a wide repertoire covering classical choral works from the 16th-20th centuries along with more contemporary pieces.

Hilary Campbell is a professional musical director, conductor and composer. In addition to her work with Chiswick Choir, she is the founder and conductor of professional chamber choir Blossom Street. She is also MD of Bristol Choral Society and the Music Makers of London.

Tickets are £20 (£10 for students and under 18s) and can be purchased online.

The day will run from 10:30am until 4.30pm. Please arrive promptly to ensure sufficient time for registration, introductions and refreshments. Vocal warmups will start at 11:00am.

Refreshments of tea and coffee will be provided. There is also a corner shop along with several small cafes and pubs a minute or two away from the venue, though it is recommended to bring a packed lunch if possible.

The day will conclude with an informal performance of the music learned, to which you are very welcome to invite friends and family.
