Two Chiswick based classical musicians, Fiammetta Tarli and Ivo Varbanov have started a new record label which will concentrate on classical music.

ICSM Records (Independent Creative Sound and Music Records) (www.icsmrecords.com)will be launched in May and the couple have appealed for public help to release its first four albums.

Pianists Ivo and Fiammetta, say they have a great passion and drive to share their music with as broad and far-reaching an audience as possible.

"We met as teenagers on a summer music masterclass in Italy, and since then our careers and relationship have grown to the point where we now have international careers as soloists and chamber musicians, and are married with a beautiful son", says Rumanian-born Ivo whose solo career was halted for some time while he recovered from leukaemia.

The couple, who have played at venues including The Wigmore Hall, and international tours have invested more than £16,000 of their own in the project to set up the record label.

"In order to publish those first four recordings we are looking to put together another £18,000 for the physical production (with release and launch included) of 4,000 CDs (1,000 copies of each recording) and 1,200 LPs (300 of each recording).

"By helping us, you will not only be helping us to fulfil a dream that we’ve been focussed on for some time, but you will also be giving valuable support to independent classical artists at a time when funding for the arts is difficult to find," says Ivo.

They plan plan to release their first set of albums in May 2014 with a launch of INDEPENDENT CREATIVE SOUND AND MUSIC RECORDS on the 21st of May 2014 at Kings Place, London.
