In partnership, Belmont and Abundance London won the Malcolm Gibbins Cup, awarded as a Partnership Challenge for Education and Business Awards. Beavers School was co-nominated with Belmont.

Abundance London works with schools and other local groups to harvest fruit that would otherwise be wasted, either from street trees, or people's gardens.

Local sponsors include Outsider Tart, Sam’s Brasserie and Eco Age, as well as the other restaurants and suppliers who use our locally-harvested fruit.

Abundance works with several local schools, but Belmont was outstanding, throwing themselves into picking, cooking and preserving the fruit they picked.

They had a stall at the big Abundance Fruit Day in October which was very successful and raised hundreds of pounds for the school, while also educating pupils in the benefits and fun of healthy eating and fruit-harvesting.
