The post-mortem examination of the baby boy who died after a lamppost fell on his buggy will be held on Monday 1st March at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

An inquest, expected to be on Tuesday 2nd March at West London Coroner's Court, will be opened and adjourned in due course.

A joint investigation is currently underway by officers from Hounslow CID and the Specialist Crime Directorate, and the Health and Safety Executive.

Turnham Green Councillor and Leader of the Hounslow Council, Peter Thompson, said, "We are continuing to cooperate with the Police and Health & Safety Executive investigation.”

The child's identity is not being revealed at this time and the family is asking that their privacy be respected.

A book of condolence was opened at Chiswick Town Hall, a flowers have been laid at the scene of the incident which happened on Tuesday 23rd February.

Mayor of Hounslow, Cllr Paul Lynch expressed the thoughts of so many when he said, “This is heartbreaking news and all our thoughts are with the family at this terrible time."
