Chiswick High Road was closed this morning, Monday 12th April, after a woman was hit by a moped.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the scene outside the Carphone Warehouse store at 08.50.

A 52 year old woman was taken to a Charing Cross hospital suffering from head injuries which are not believed to be life threatening.

The moped driver was also taken to hospital.

The High Road was re-opened to traffic a little over an hour later at 10.00.
