Motorists trying to get over for the Easter holiday found themselves in long queues as delays built up following a collision at the Hogarth roundabout on the A4 in Chiswick earlier today (April 18)

Tfl said that the collision at the Hogarth Roundabout was causing westbound A4 delays and queues back to North End Road.

Bus routes were put on diversion with delays expected on routes 190, E3, H91 and knock-on delays to Chiswick High Road routes.

Further along the A4 near the M4 a car broke down in the middle lane, adding to congestion.

A number of motorists pushed the car into another lane in a bid to ease the traffic flow.

TfL tweeted "On the A4, near the M4, thanks to the motorists who helped move the broken down car from the middle lane. Remains in lane 1 though".

The broken down car was towed away before lunchtime, improving traffic flow.
