A woman from Chiswick killed in a collision with a bus in Shepherd's Bush has been named by police.

Carol Elizabeth Thomas, aged 50, was hit by a 260 bus on Westfield Way at around 7.20am on Wednesday, 15th April. She was pronounced dead at the scene. Her next of kin have been informed.

The driver of the bus, a man aged in his forties, was arrested and taken to a west London police station. He has been bailed to return, pending further enquiries, on a date in late May.

Officers from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit based at Merton are investigating.
