The police have confirmed that the pedestrian hit by a car on Bath Road on Monday (25 June) afternoon has not received life-threatening injuries.

The collision, which took place at the junction with Abinger Road, some time before 4pm resulted in the closure of Bath Road for an extended period. An area around the Chiswick Court Hotel was cordoned off and the road was shut up to the junction with Turnham Green Terrace.

There was severe traffic across the Chiswick area which increased over the rush hour. Buses were placed on diversion including the 94.

Unconfirmed reports say that a child was hurt in the incident. The police have not confirmed this and are not currently seeking witnesses.
