Two works by Chiswick artist, Patricia Padget, have been selected from over 500 submissions to appear alongside paintings by some of Britain's leading marine artists. "Celebrating the Sea" will be on display at the Mall Galleries between 13 and 23 October 2010.

This annual exhibition, led by the Royal Society of Marine Artists, has come to be recognised as the most prestigious and varied exhibition of marine art in the UK.

Work covers a range of subject matter, including battleships, coastal landscapes and rurual fishing boats. There will be artist demonstrations throughout the exhibition.

Patricia's paintings are both water colours of Beachy Head in Sussex.

She has been drawing and painting since she was five years old and studied at Eastbourne Art School under Robert Taverner and at Chelsea School of Art. Her prints and paintings have been exhibited widely in the UK. With her husband Patrick, she currently has a major exhibition of paintings called "Shakespeare's Treasure" on display at Shakespeare's Globe Theatre until April 23rd 2011.
