If you fancy taking a trip down supermarket memory lane then author Simon Hamilton Graham would be delighted to hear from you.

Simon contacted ChiswickW4.com asking for help with a novel he is currently writing which involves a female character working in a supermarket check-out in Chiswick during the Christmas of 1990 and New Year, 1991.

"My character is stranded, financially, through young widowhood, but a happy ending is designed for her," explains Simon.

"The supermarket check-out is just a symbol for the fact that my character has fallen on hard times, partly through a minor fault of her own. She is an outsider and needs a fresh start with a positive outlook on her own life's possibilities.

"I portray Chiswick as a place where one's creative potential can flourish if you are willing to work at it and this is partly why my character's circumstances change.

"It's the fact that is has to be 1990/91 that occasions my query. I'm hoping that someone would be able to help me in describing Chiswick, then, and particularly the supermarkets, their name, character and location."
