Twelve new electric vehicle charging points have been installed in the car park at Chiswick Business Park

The newly installed stations are available staff of companies working in the office development and their visitors. Local residents will not be allowed to use them.

That brings the total number of charging points generally available to employees to 12. There are some additional charging points in the undercrofts of some buildings, which have been installed by companies working within those buildings and are for their sole private use only.

Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work which manages the development has given a new brand identity, Recharge, to cover all electric vehicle offerings on the campus.

The new charging points are 22kw fast chargers offering up to 90 miles based on a one-hour charge. Chiswick Business Park has partnered with ChargePoint charging stations to provide the facility.

‘We believe that we have a major role to play in driving the uptake of electric vehicles and providing charging infrastructure to help improve air quality in London. We are proud to be delivering such a great offering as more of our Guests onsite consider a transition to electric vehicles. We are planning to increase the number of charging points by 2022 as part of our ESG strategy especially our focus around environmental and active travel,” said Matt Coulson, CEO Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work.

Chiswick Business Park will providing 750 car parking spaces to supporters of Brentford FC and London Irish on matchdays when fans are allowed to return to the Brentford Community Stadium.

The development covers 1.8 million sq ft of office space spread over 12 buildings. The campus is home to companies such as Pernod Ricard, IMG, Starbucks, Discovery and Danone.
