Last Friday September 9th Chiswick Park waved goodbye to the summer in style with Spin into Autumn, the grand finale of its famous weekly event series.

A hair raising fairground ride was put up in the Events Square for the afternoon, holding 24 brave people at a time with giant arms spinning at G Force speeds in opposite directions.

For those wanting to keep their feet on the ground, Urban Masters, the challenging mini golf course, was back by popular demand along with an on site caricaturist as the park waved goodbye to summer.

For the last time this year the barbecue provided lunchtime refreshments whilst the live band played tunes for the workers on the park and members of the local community who came along to enjoy the spectacle.

Sarah Green, from Chiswick Park Enjoy-Work, commented: “The events have proved more popular than ever this year.  We have attracted virtually everyone on the park, getting them out for a break and a laugh over a burger at lunch.   This is a familiar pattern that we have seen throughout the events programme this summer.  The events give both physical and mental stretch and leave participants refreshed for the afternoon.”

Now in its fourth year the summer events season, which runs from June until September on the Events Square at the Park, continues to be a resounding success. Forming a key part of Chiswick Park’s enjoy-work lifestyle ethos, the events offer the opportunity for participants to try a number of new experiences and gain valuable skills. As well as introducing an element of summer-time fun into Friday lunchtimes, the activities also have a more serious role in encouraging team-building and motivation in the workplace, helping to create a sense of community across the park and among neighbouring residents and businesses.

The event series will run every Friday between 12.00pm - 2.00pm until the end of September and are open both to employees based on the park and to local residents.
