Discovery Networks Europe, the pan-European arm of leading factual entertainment group Discovery Communications Inc., has announced plans to relocate its European Headquarters to the Richard Rogers designed Chiswick Business Park site in the biggest property deal in West London for some years.

The broadcaster, which runs nine channel brands through Europe, Africa and the Middle East, is currently based in Great Portland Street. The move more than trebles its available space with the company taking full occupation of Building 2, (100,000 sq ft) at the office development from early 2005.

Robin Paxton, Managing Director of Discovery Networks Europe, said , “We have secured a stunning space which is wholly fitting for a company as creative and innovative as Discovery. We plan to create an environment in which we can build upon our commercial success, grow our networks and our teams, and of course continue to produce the highest quality factual entertainment in the world.”

Henry Williams, Development Director at Stanhope, comments: “We are delighted to have attracted Discovery to Chiswick Park. They are a high profile media business which fits perfectly within the environment and lifestyle we have created under our now famous enjoy-work brand. We also share a vision to make the work environment a more attractive place.”

Chiswick Business Park is a 1.5 million sq ft office development, developed by Stanhope. The award winning development has quickly established a reputation as a favoured location for the media industry. It also houses the headquarters of Corinthian Television Facilities Ltd, Teletext and Vue Entertainment.
