Ant and Dec inadvertently became the stars of what has been dubbed ‘accidental headline of the year’.

The first edition of Saturday's Daily Express carried the headline "Can Dec finally match Ant?" on a two-page article about the pair, in particular Dec’s blossoming relationship with Sky TV presenter Georgie Thompson, with the word "finally" crossing over the two pages.

Apparently the Express powers that be decided there were too many headlines with "finally" in the edition so it was changed to "Can Dec at last match Ant?"

Unfortunately somewhere in the process, someone forgot to change both sides of the spread, leaving the "a" of "at" on one page and "nally" of "finally" on the other, creating the headline "Can Dec anally match Ant?" which was published in some editions before the error was corrected for the final one.
