It was clear that his dance partner thinks far more highly of him than the show's judges after Strictly Come Dancing's Joe Calzaghe and Kristina Rihanoff were caught on camera in a passionate embrace.

The couple were saying goodbye outside Chiswick Moran Hotel where the Welsh boxing legend is staying whilst training for and filming the BBC One show.

The two may have great chemistry off screen but the Strictly judges are yet to find something good to say about the boxer's prowess on the dance floor.

In the first three weeks of the show, Joe and Kristina scored the lowest marks in the competition and prompted comments from judges like, "It did have a lot more movement than a dead man dancing, so at least it shows some sign of improvement!"

Known as 'The Pride of Wales' Joe won 2007's BBC Sports Personality of the Year Award. He was the longest reigning boxing world champion of the modern era, holding the WBO, WBA, WBC and IBF super-middleweight belts during his remarkable 16-year career.

Surprisingly before the start of the competition Joe said, "I’m very scared about dancing in front of a live audience – it’s terrifying!"

He announced his retirement earlier this year with an unbeaten record of 46 professional fights. Although he may have found a new relationship, it doesn't appear that dancing will be his new career.
