Chiswick teenager Imogen Newton is proof that dreams do come true after being chosen as the 'face' of Top Shop.

The 16 year old was discovered by model agency Viva whilst watching Sister Act The Musical at the London Palladium in December 2009.

Since then she has been featured in Arena Homme Plus, modeled for British designer Erdem, appeared in French Vogue and will make her British Vogue debut later this year.

Imogen, who has just finished her GCSEs told the Evening Standard, “I'm very excited and the timing seemed right, as long as I could fit it around school.

“I obviously will be delighted if things go well. But I would always want to keep other work going, I'd want a bit of reality — and anyway, this could all end tomorrow.”

Known as Ims to her friends, her hobbies include sketching, picnicking in the park and swimming in ponds.

Her favourite film is Sex and the City with Mamma Mia being her 'guilty pleasure'.
