Clearly not everyone finds Ant and Dec desirable neighbours after Ant found himself on the receiving end of someone's fist this week.

The TV presenters were in The Barley Mow Pub watching the Arsenal vs Barcelona game when a fellow drinker decided to pick on Ant. It appeared that the 'teenage rudeboy' mistook the 35 year married Ant for Dec asking him where is girlfriend was. Dec had been in the pub earlier with his girlfriend, Sky Sports presenter Georgie Thompson, but had left when the incident occurred.

An eyewitness told The Sun newspaper: "Ant didn't react and this bloke launched himself at him and punched him in the face."

"It was all totally unprovoked." he added.

A spokesperson for The Convivial Pub Company who own The Barley Mow told ChiswickW4.com: "There was an incident on Tuesday night, there was a scuffle which was over very quickly. It was dealt with by the staff and friends of one of the people involved." He said he was unable to comment any further but was "satisfied in the way his staff dealt with the issue".

"The Barley Mow is a safe pub and rarely has issues. It is used by Ant and Dec from time to time, they are very popular with the staff and other customers and we hope they continue to come and see us."

A spokesman for Ant McPartlin said that the award winning TV presenter wouldn't be taking the matter further.
