Local actor Will Poulter is up for more awards. He has received three nominations in the MTV Movie Awards which will be televised next month.

Will fought off stiff competition last month to win the Rising Star Award at this year's BAFTAs.

The 21-year-old Chiswick actor won the public vote against Dane DeHaan, Lupita Nyong'o, George MacKay and Lea Seydoux.

He has now received three nominations for the MTV Movie Awards which will be hosted by Conan O'Brien on Sunday April 13.

The nominations are in the categories of Best Breakthrough Performance; Best Kiss; and Best Musical Moment (when he sings 'Waterfalls' ).

Oscar favourites including American Hustle, Twelve Years a Slave and The Wolf Of Wall Street are tipped for top prizes with several nominations. Will's co-star in We're The Millers, Jennifer Aniston, is nominated in the Best Female Performance category.

Will tweeted today that he 'couldn't believe' that he had three nominations for the MTV awards.

Will Poulter attended the School of Comedy at the Tabard Theatre in 2005 after he was spotted by Laura Lawson, his drama teacher at Harrodian School.

His break in films came after he was brought to an audition for independent Brit movie Son of Rambow and he went on to appear as Eustace Scrubb in the Chronicles of Narnia series.
