Locally based TV presenters Ant McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have picked up a brace of awards at Sunday night's Baftas.

The pair's Saturday Night Takeaway won two Baftas, for best entertainment show and entertainment performance.

Dec said the double win was "brilliant" and Ant said he was chuffed and praised the "hardworking crew".

Their performance on the night was matched by the IT Crowd which also received two awards and exceeded by ITV crime drama Broadchurch which bagged three.

Breaking Bad won the international award becoming the first ever show screened only online to win.

Chiswick was well represented at the awards, with local resident Elizabeth Mc Govern (Lady Cora in Downton Abbey) presenting an award.

Another W4 resident, Sophie Ellis-Bextor managed to outshine most of the other attendees in a frock that costs £370 at House of Fraser. The pop star and Strictly Come Dancing contestant turned up in a stunning Dynasty black sequin dress.

Local MP Mary Macleod tweeted, "Well done to Chiswick lads Ant and Dec! @antanddec #BAFTA2014." when the winners were announced.
