Marco Pierre White's estranged wife has pleaded 'not guilty' in court to a charge of assaulting her two sons, following an incident at her home in Chiswick.

Mathilde Conejero, 51, known as Mati, who married the chef in 2000, appeared at Uxbridge Magistrates Court on two counts of assault against two men aged 21 and 20, her two sons.

The prosecution told the bench that this was a case of domestic assault.

Conejero and her eldest son, Luciano Pierre White, are believed to share adjoining flats in Chiswick upstairs at the premises which was formerly Frankie's Bar & Grill and which is now the Villa de Geggiano.

The court was told that Luciano had left the property for a time and when he returned his mother was banging on the door.

It is then alleged that she assaulted both sons, Marco, by his hair and by kicking him in the groin, and that when her other son, Luciano, tried to intervene, he was also assaulted.

The defendant is claiming that her actions were in self defence. Her counsel said that she claims that she was assaulted first.

The incident is alleged to have taken place, on September 20th 2015.

The court heard that the restaurant below the flat called the police.

A date for trial was fixed for May 17th, 2016.
