They may be too old for their new club, but local TV twosome Ant & Dec will be keeping themselves busy this summer with a new £1 million gameshow.

ITV have just announced that they have chosen the diminutive duo to present The Con Test which will be, according to the programme makers, a quiz with a difference.

Contestants taking part on the show will win by bluffing their way past their opponents and to the jackpot.

Dec explained “We came up with the idea about two years ago and tried it out on our friends - we played it out in a room upstairs at our local pub.

“It's an exciting game. You don't need great general knowledge, but you need the intelligence to convince the other contestants you know the answers.”

Ant added “I don't play poker but I've always liked the idea of bluffing your opponents. This game is all about cunning and being able to hold your nerve.”

The programme is set to be on air in July.
