Let's Go Disco With Three For The Road

Chiswick Trio Host Cancer Research Fundraiser for Patagonian Trek

So many people have tragic stories to tell relating to cancer and these three Chiswick friends are no exception.   "We have chosen Cancer Research UK to support because their research is funded entirely through voluntary donations.  Every penny of the money we raise through sponsorship will go directly to the charity."  says Carla Durkan who trekked across the Nambian desert last year after losing her brother to cancer.

As more close friends and family became affected by this vile condition, Carla, Jez and Emma decided to take on another international challenge for Cancer Research UK and so in March 2007 the three will set off to Patagonia in Chile to trek in the foothills of the Andes. 

Sounds great but considering they will be trekking between 8 to 12 hours a day, this will be no holiday.

"I felt completely helpless when I discovered my sister in law was ill.  I needed to do something and felt that raising money for research was the most practical thing I could do.  Motivation isn't a problem when we remember that we're the lucky ones who are able to take on such a physical challenge." says Emma.

"And tickets are now hot off the press for our first fundraising event!  So stop pretending you cannot remember the 70's and come and join us for a fun disco night on Friday 13th October down at the golf club in Duke's Meadows from 7:30pm to 12:30am.
