Helping the Burmese Delta, a Chiswick-based Charity have released a new statement about the state of the country and fundraising opportunities.

"Burma has been back in the news with the release of Aung San Suu Kyi and her talks on the BBC, but the people continue to receive only tiny amounts of international aid. Please help us with our very practical work for some of the poorest and most remote people of this deprived country. Education and Health are our main concerns and as always, we guarantee that 100% of your donation goes straight to Burma and will deliver lasting benefits (for example, we’ve just opened our eighth school)."

FUNDRAISING RUN TO SUPPORT HTBD

A friend of the charity,Vasileios Kospanos, is helping to raise funds by running in the Regents Park 10K Race which takes place on September 4th. Please give Vasileios some encouragement and at the same time help to raise funds for Burma by sponsoring him for the race. This can be done online by going to the Just Giving site where Vasileios is registered at:

http://www.justgiving.com/vkospanos

A £10 donation will provide school books and materials for one child for a whole year.

Thank you!
