The tale of love, loss and infidelity amongst the swans of Chiswick House continues with the announcement of the ground's newest residents.

On Tuesday 19th May, three cygnets were born to the original female swan and her new beau. On Wednesday one further cygnet hatched bringing her brood to four.

These images taken by Chiswick photographer American Grey show the adult swans and their babies venturing out onto the lake for the first time.

The photo below shows another new family led by Step Mother Goose - a Canadian Goose who has 'adopted' a brood of six five-week old Mallards.
