The next meeting on the future of policing in Chiswick has been confirmed for 28 March at Chiswick Town Hall.
Doors open 7.30 pm. The meeting is a follow up to that held in December, organised by the nine local councillors.

The forthcoming Chiswick Area Forum meeting on the 5th February will include a police report update by Police Sergeant Anil Sharma.

This will be a good opportunity to raise any specific local issues particularly ones that have arisen at the 19th December meeting.

Police have increased their focus on Chiswick in the wake of the increasing crime and have made several arrests for knife and drugs crime.

They are also implementing a Stop and Search campaign. And the local Rapid Response teams have been given emergency back up by Interceptor teams ( high powered police vehicles with officers who are trained to use tasers).

Two dispersal zones were also implemented recently.

The meeting in December was called by local councillors in response to growing concern about increased crime, particularly muggings of schoolchildren. It was attended by Superintendent Gary Taylor, the Deputy (West Area) Commander, Ruth Cadbury MP, and local police officers.
