Three suspects picked the wrong place and the wrong time to attempt to break into a vehicle at a football ground in west London last week.

The three decided to try and force entry into a car belonging to a player whilst a game was going on……a league game between Hounslow police and Richmond officers.

Needless to say the three ne'er-do-wells were'’t expecting twenty-two off duty officers to suddenly appear behind them and place them under arrest for breaking into an officer’s car.

The three suspects ended up in a cell for for motor vehicle interference!!!

The incident proves a police officer is never off duty, even when playing footie.
