They say: "We have received a report indicating that the woman, previously famous for her sob stories, is back in action. This time, she is carrying a clip board and has been asking for sponsorships.

"So far, she has managed to get money from two residents. Please don't give her any money and please share this information with your neighbours."

She was calling at houses in Blandford Road this Wednesday (22 May) claiming to be a resident of Queen Anne's Gardens and to be raising money for a 4 hour endurance run she said she was undertaking either in support of battered wives or for a women's refuge in remembrance of her mother who passed away as a result of domestic violence a few years ago.

She was carrying produced a sheaf of sponsorship forms purportedly signed by people in Blenheim, Woodstock and other local streets and had gift aid declarations to be completed.
She has darker hair than shown in the photograph above. She was wearing black rimmed glasses, and a black tracksuit with white stripes on the sleeves and legs. She is described as a thin white woman in her late thirties with long brown hair (sometimes in a plait), approximately 5’5.

If she calls on you, don't give her any money, and report her to the police.
