A 28-year-old woman from South Acton is facing charges of murder and attempted murder.

Rhian Beresford of Hope Gardens, W3 was charged on Tuesday 24, March in relation to an incident that took place on Salisbury Street at around 12:50pm at the rear of the Everyone Active Leisure Centre and Acton Library on Sunday 22, March.

A 54-year-old man was hit by a car and then the driver got out and attacked another man. The victim of the collision was taken to hospital in a critical condition and later died. The second man was not seriously injured.

Rhian Beresford was detained at the scene and remains in custody due to appear at Ealing Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday.

Homicide detectives from Specialist Crime are investigating.
